Sail And Canvas Repair

Sail Repair

Head And Tack Webbing Replacement

The most common failure we see on sails now are webbing loops failing. On furling sails the webbing is the only thing exposed and it will start to break down and become fuzzy. Regularly check webbing loops and attachment points for wear and whether they need serviced or not.

Suncover Restitching and replacement

Suncover holds up great to UV but the thread does not. On most furling headsails the stitching holding the suncover on will start to fail after multiple summers in the sun. We both restitch the spots where thread has failed or can completely replace the suncover. We can also do new installs and color changes.

Full Batten Conversions

Looking to set up your boat for easier cruising, full battens can be a large benefit. Sails can be converted from partial to full battens, or full to partial, and any configuration desired.

Reef Installations

Reefs can be added at any point, most commonly we add 3rd reefs. Reef patches are copied from the existing patches and similar material to make sure the finished reef looks as if it were there when the sail was built.

General Sail Repair and Maintenance

Sail inventories should routinely be checked for signs of aging, wear, and damage. Not sure whether a sail is in good condition or not bring it in and we will evaluate it and give you a free estimate for any repairs that may need done. Always keep your sails covered and properly flaked or rolled, simple habits keep sails in better condition longer, and prevent unexpected failures.

Canvas Repair

Window Replacement

Corroded, cracked, or dirty enclosure windows, we can replace them. We use  Strataglass scratch resistant and CrystalClear window sheets to offer the clearest and long lasting window option.

Binding Repair

Thread often fails first in harsh UV conditions. Just like suncover needing a restitch, binding and reinforcement areas are easily restitched and reinforced.

Velcro Replacement

Velcro can crack and tear overtime. As well as lose it stickiness. We can replace velcro on any piece of canvas, whether it is a leech cover or the rear bar of a bimini.

Closure Change/Repair

We have all types of closures/attachments for canvas and boats. Don't like snaps or velcro, switch to twist locks. We can add new snaps, repair broken ones, or completely change the closure type used on the sail.
